Pitcher Lucas Giolito grew up in the near Hollywood in Studio City, California. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in 2012 and made his Major League debut with them on June 28, 2016. After the 2016 season, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox. On August 25, 2020 he became the 19th pitcher in White Sox history to toss a no-hitter, thwarting the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0. Giolito struck out 13 batters, while allowing just one walk, to become the first White Sox player to throw a no-no with 10 or more strikeouts.
