Maybe Today, We'll All Wear 42

Jackie Robinson best known for breaking the color barrier in the modern era of baseball, but fans of the sport also recognize his extra ordinary talent. After playing for the Negro American League's Kansas City Monarchs in 1945, he was signed by Brooklyn and spent the 1946 season with Montreal, Brooklyn's top minor league club. Robinson debuted with Brooklyn on April 15, 1947 and played 10 seasons in the bigs. Along the way he was named Rookie of the Year (in '47), an All-Star six times, MVP ('49), batting champion ('49), and led the NL in stolen bases twice ('47 and '49). In 1997, his number was retired by all teams in both major leagues. *Design is officially licensed from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum   OS15576
