Les Nordiques

The Nordiques, Les Nordiques en Francais, were charter members of the World Hockey Association, hitting the ice in Quebec City in 1972. The team won the league title in 1977 and was absorbed by the NHL, along with three other teams, in 1979. IN 1995, the team moved to Colorado and were renamed the Avalanche.
