Adley Rutschman hails from Salem, Oregon and was drafted by Seattle in 2016 but chose to play college baseball in his home state. His freshman year, he was the football team's kicker. He stuck with baseball, though, and was selected by Baltimore in the 2019 draft. He made his big league debut May 21, 2022 for Baltimore. Félix Bautista comes from the Dominican Republic. Originally signed by Miami, he joined Baltimore in 2022. Together with Rutschman, he has been closing deals in Birdland.
