One of the most interesting players in the American Basketball Association (ABA), John Brisker played for the Pittsburgh Condors and Pipers before joining Seattle of the rival NBA in 1972. In 1975 he played part of one season for the minor league Cherry Hill Rookies of the Eastern Basketball Association. In 1978, he travelled to Uganda where he soon disappeared. Though declared dead by King County, Washington officials in 1985, his fate remains unknown to this day.
