Official Dan Issel ABA Player Tee

After an outstanding career at the University of Kentucky, Dan Issel  was drafted in 1970 by Detroit of the National Basketball Association (NBA) as well as the Kentucky Colonels of the American Basketball Association (ABA). He chose to play for the latter and started six seasons in the rebel league before moving into the NBA with Denver. He helped the Colonels win the 1975 ABA Championship, was a six-time ABA All-Star, the ABA All-Star Game MVP in 1972, Rookie of the Year in 1971, and the league scoring champ that same year.
