After almost eight memorable seasons with the team, Bruce was traded to New York (NL) in August of 2016 where he played until August of 2017 when Cleveland picked him up off waivers. While there he hit the walk-off double that extended the team's winning streak to 22 games. In 2018 he was back with in New York before heading to Seattle in 2019, briefly. In June of that year he wound up in Philadelphia. Before the start of the 2021 season he signed with New York, only this time on the AL side. He announced his retirement shortly after the start of the season.
